What does Hoss Automation actually do?
We build AI automation on the tools you already run — your phone, inbox, calendar, and pricebook. Four workhorses: instant lead response on missed calls, review and reputation automation, local visibility and SEO, and quoting and field ops powered by our own platform, BidTorch. No rip-and-replace.
Can I see something working before I pay for anything?

Do I have to replace my existing software?
No. We layer on top of what you already use — QuickBooks Online, Wave, Square, Stripe, PayPal, HubSpot, Gmail or Outlook. If a tool is missing, like a CRM, we set it up as part of onboarding.
How fast can something be live?
Most automations are live within days — not a six-month “digital transformation.” The Back-Office AI Concierge runs three steps: discovery call, agreement and tool hookup, and your first Monday Brief lands the following Monday — about two weeks end to end.
What does a discovery call cost?
Discovery is complimentary for solo and micro businesses. For larger engagements it’s a paid assessment, credited toward implementation — so we both come to the table ready to do real work.
What’s the difference between BidTorch and BidTorch Managed?
BidTorch is our white-label quoting and field-ops platform — your quotes, your brand, flat pricing with no per-seat fees. BidTorch Managed is BidTorch with Hoss running it for you: we set it up under your brand, load your pricebook, tune the AI follow-ups, and keep an eye on your pipeline. The AI Phone Concierge is part of the Managed bundle.
What trades do you work with?
Home-service trades are the focus: plumbing, HVAC, insulation, electrical, roofing, and more. The Back-Office AI Concierge serves small businesses beyond the trades — anyone drowning in invoices, email, and month-end.
Will the AI text my customers without their permission?
No. Texting is consent-first: the opt-in box on our contact form is never pre-checked, consent is never a condition of working with us, STOP always stops, and mobile numbers are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Does the AI ever quote prices?
No. The assistant qualifies the job and hands it to a human — it never invents a price. Pricing comes from your own pricebook, and a person closes the job.
Where do you work?
Greenfield, Indiana is home base, and most of our work is across Central Indiana. We take remote engagements where there’s a clear fit.
